Getting Started

1. We begin with H&D Deluxe modding by installing the game with editor. If you have installed the game without editor, you should run the setup again. I recommend to install the game in one of the home folders like “documents” to prevent issues with admin permissions.

2. In the next step you have to find your H&D Deluxe root folder. The easiest way is a right click on the desktop shortcut and open file path.

3. Now open the folder “data” and extract the archives “missions.dta”, “map.dta”, “models.dta”, “sounds.dta” and “sounds_languageXY.dta” to your root folder. You can use any extract program like winRAR or 7zip.
